Remote, online Forklift and MEWP Train The Trainer classes open up new opportunities for companies to get the best forklift and MEWP trainers class from the convenience of their own conference room. Until recently, customers had two choices for training forklift trainers. In-person forklift or MEWP trainer’s classes or online classes. In person classes are still a popular option. We offer them on a regular basis in Columbus and Cleveland Ohio or anywhere in the U.S. with groups of 4 or more trainers. The COVID-19/Coronavirus crisis, with its travel restrictions, budgetary cuts and potential contact dangers, exposed some weaknesses with in person training. Most online forklift trainer’s classes are a joke, most taking 1-2 hours to complete and involving no live instructor or human interaction. They are basically “diploma mills,” you’re paying to be issued a credential, no competency required. It’s not the type of training most companies who are serious about forklift and MEWP train the trainer will pursue.
With these things in mind, Forklift Training Systems, developed another option, the remote, live instructor led classes. These classes are the exact same format, content, time frame and cost as our in-person classes. However, they are held remotely with no in person contact dangers or the costs associated with travel. We modified these classes so we can still conduct site and lift specific instruction, just remotely. These trainer’s classes come in two varieties, custom groups and regularly scheduled classes. Custom groups are designed for customers who need four or more trainers. These classes include just your group of up to 10 trainers and can be catered to your specific applications/equipment and around your busy schedule. If you need up to 3 trainers, our regularly scheduled, remote classes allow you to easily log in from your workplace or home and share the class with forklift trainers from other companies. Our regularly scheduled, on line Forklift Train The Trainer classes use the ZOOM format. If you don’t already have a ZOOM account, you can set up a free one in only minutes. We prefer the ZOOM on line format for custom classes as well, but we can also use Microsoft Teams, GOTOMEETING, RingCentral video, Skype and Google Hangouts just to mention a few. In addition, the custom group classes also can “escape” the conference room and go mobile. ZOOM mobile allows you to download their app to you tablet, iPad or cell phone so we can help audit your site and equipment with your group.
